Dear friends,
Have you ever experienced a frustrating time in your own life when again and again you tried to do something you knew was right and found it hard going? We are daily up against something! We face the persistence of evil that happens in the world.
Does the Bible share this with us? YES!
"But, brothers and sisters, when we were orphaned by being separated from you for a short time (in person, not in thought), out of our intense longing we made every effort to see you. For we wanted to come to you — certainly I, Paul, did, again and again — but Satan blocked our way."
Paul, clearly declared that plans were getting "blocked" by the forces of evil. Satan loves to plant obstacles in our path. Especially when we yearn to carry out plans that serve our Lord. We must keep our eyes "open" to the methods of evil, so we can remain faithful and strong. Say this prayer...
Father, let me not be ignorant of the enemy's schemes, and help me to stand firm against him in the strength of your might.
Amen.
Let your planning process always begin, continue, and end with prayer. Talk to God about all plans. Ask Him for wisdom and strength to carry them out. Pay attention to the prompting and guidance of the Holy Spirit inside of you.
May today's plans and future plans be worked out, with God's hand being involved.
