The Believers Share Their Possessions
From the book of Acts, in chapter 4, we read this:
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. (Acts 4:32-34)
Imagine every person received what they needed! Can you imagine this in our society?
In the early church, from time to time, people might sell land and bring money to those who were in need. These people who were acting with one heart, united around the Living Christ. The Holy Spirit helped them to overcome the sin of separation. In unison, the people were generous and looked after each other, with sincere hearts.
When people come together and work in oneness, the church is even more powerful in their ministries. The church, in the Book of Acts, should make us take notice. We all need to plug-in
to our church family, and do our journey together in harmony.
If you are paddling with others in a boat, especially on rough white waters, there is greater moving through those waters, when all are doing their paddling work.
Ask the Lord Jesus to help your heart in the communion of the church body.
