Friends:
It's not an easy world sometimes, when we are tempted to behave in ways that displeases Jesus.
When Jesus came to earth, in his physical body and lived among humans; He was able to live on earth in perfect obedience to God the Father. Jesus lived without sinning.
Imagine doing everything perfectly! No "civil war" in our head, trying to figure out how to handle the immense temptations and speaking the correct words.
In the book of Acts 1:8 it reads, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." We are each given the gift of the Holy Spirit, which gives us the power and strength to live as God desires. In the book of Galatians 5:16, it reads, "Live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature." With help from the Spirit we are able to yield to the wrong doings, and instead; do what is right in God's eyes.
Unfortunately too many folks have allowed themselves to be weak and defeated, and they fall deeply into sinful ways. They neglect the power and leading of the Holy Spirit. Pray and ask for help from the Holy Spirit! You have much help with the power of prayer, the Word of God, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Today, we remind you that "peace" also is granted to you through the Spirit. In times of frustration,
despair and confusion; stop and ask for the peace that Jesus offers. A divine peace that settles us in mind and heart and soul.
